Dr. Seuss: Secret Art Collection coming to Vancouver!

So I was casually browsing to see what's new in Vancouver art scene, then I came across an article from Daily Hive website stating that Dr. Seuss' Secret Art Collection is coming to Vancouver! I am so excited to actually see Dr. Seuss' mesmerizingly playful, humorous, and original works.

Dr. Seuss’ Secret Art Collection

When: July 11-30, 2016

Hours:
    Monday-Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
    Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
    Closed Sundays

Where: Pendulum Gallery – HSBC Building (885 West Georgia St.)

The exhibition will take place at Pendulum Gallery. I didn't recognize the gallery by its name because it was rather unfamiliar to me, but it was actually the one on the West Georgia right across the rear of Vancouver Art Gallery with a spectacular atrium hall that is seven stories high and is holding a gigantic minimalist pendulum on the ceiling. How could I not recognized the gallery by its name?

Below is the article by Cecilia Lu that I found on Daily Hive.

An art exhibit featuring the works of Dr. Seuss, the legendary children’s book writer and illustrator, is coming to Vancouver in July. For a limited engagement between July 11-30, Pendulum Gallery inside the HSBC Building downtown will play host to works from the illustrator’s Secret Art Collection.
The collection, hosted by Toronto’s Liss Gallery, includes some of those iconic children’s book illustrations, alongside decades of artwork that the artist created at night for his own personal pleasure. Among the wackiest are Seuss’ three-dimensional “Unorthodox Taxidermy” sculptures, with names like The Carbonic Walrus, The Two-Horned Drouberhannis, and the Goo-Goo-Eyed Tasmanian Wolghast.

Famous for filling our childhoods with whimsical tales like The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, Theodor Seuss Geisel, the man behind the infamous pen name, also ventured into political cartoons, advertising and editorials. Enjoying a long, successful advertising career spanning many decades, Geisel had writing interests in three Academy Awards, and received a The Pulitzer Prize, a Peabody Award, and two Emmys.
Over 40 estate authorized reproductions, adapted from Dr. Seuss’ original paintings and sculptures, will be on display at Dr. Seuss’ Secret Art Collection, opening to the public on July 11.
